Search Engine that lets you search date "prior to" ?

Question

Is there a search engine that will let you search for pages updated PRIOR TO a certain date?

For instance, I want to find news articles on the Florida primary - but only those prior to December 2007. Google lets you search "within the last six months" but that's the opposite of what I want. I want PRIOR to the last six months.

Any ideas on how to do this kind of search?

get a list of Florida papers especailly the bigger city papers and look in their archives.

hmm, good question, i'm not too sure. I have found a site that does let you google search by date, but i don't think this is what you are after, http://d8search.com - sorry i couldn't be of better help.
