Search Won't Open On My Computer?

I have Windows XP and a few days ago when i tried to go to Start then Search, I click on search and it just doesn't open. It doesn't do anything. I click on it and it won't open or anything. Anyone know what I can do to fix it?

try this, go to administrative tools, then select services, then scroll down to indexing service, and then restart it.
