Search and Rescue pilots in the Canadian forces?

How much do they make?And what do they fly?Is it easy to find a job in search and rescue?

  1. Starting anywhere from $85,000 a year to up to $180,000 as a commanding officer of the unit.

    I flew the Hercules and Twin Otter in the SAR role in the CAF. The Twin Otter is no longer used in the SAR role.

    Currently the CAF uses the Hercules, Griffon, and EH-101 in the SAR role. I should know this, but I think the Buffalo has been retired.
