I live in Indiana and I was wondering since I am in a volunteer SAR program where can I get more search and rescue/survival training so that I can become apart of a professional search and rescue team?

  1. join USCG

  2. USCG Rescue Swimmer

    Navy Rescue Swimmer

    Best Choice

    Air Force Pararescue (PJ)

I'm Navy and have a job a lot of people want, so it says a lot that I'm a huge fan of the PJ's they do good work. I have spent some time with them it was a blast.

EDIT- Well Then you are in the wrong form. We are telling you the military is the best place to get that training then when you get out you can basically walk on to any team in the world you want. Since you are already in a volunteer program and know all the military stuff ask them to send you to some schools. We do go to some civilian schools or have some civilian instructors for climbing, driving, shooting and various other activities but you’re a smart cat and all ready know that, so you’ll find them.

  3. Air Force Pararescuemen are the best combat search and rescue unit in the military. Coast Guard has the most missions. Both the PJ and rescue swimmer programs are hard to get into.
