Search being rerouted to Gateway/Google search...

Question

Whenever I'm in a sight (signed into msn for example) & I'm trying to search for something (careerbuilder specific job postings) it keeps popping back to the Gateway/google search engine screen (which I never use) - I've try spy searches, deleting history etc... nothing stops this from happening so far! help!?!?!
