Search for the "Golden Rocket" train?

My Great Grandfather(Bartow d**k) was fascinated with coal engines so much that he handbuilt a miniature train from scratch he called the golden rocket. Every day he would ride kids after school on it on a track he built, it ran off coal and had about six cars behind it. He sold it in the 60's and my family would love to know where it is now. We have heard it was in a campbells soup commercial up north, we have also heard someone bought it that lived somewhere around North carolina, and lead would help! thanks

  1. Look for the "Trains" site or model engineering sites on the net.

If you have a name of the builder and perhaps a scanned photo of the model loco you could post it on some of the sites and someone is likely to know something of it.
