Searching for a horse?!?

Question

Im helping a friend find a horse for her kid... the kid wants to start barrel racing and they need a broke cheap barrel horse!? where can i find one?

I feel ashamed to say but I found my second horse at an online horse classifieds website. The two best sites I found were;  http://www.equine.com/ and   http://www.horsetopia.com/. Of course i went and looked at her before writing a check but I'm sure glad i found her! The way i got my first horse was just by spreading the word of what i was looking for. The price of my second horse was a trade for a saddle that we had bought for only about $800, people may be willing to negotiate, for there horse to go to a good home!

P.S. I didn't by the first horse i saw!

The parents have experience, right? Just checking. A QH or Paint is ideal. They flood the market, so it's actually just perfect. Here are some websites you can use.

Is her kid experienced? You dont want something to fast... Most barrel horses run high, if you want a decent horse they are not that cheap...  you can try

Look in a paper or at an auction because barrel horses anywhere else run pretty high. I just bought a barrel horse for like 9 grand thats high for me..
