searching for a cheap place to stay in mexico, might not be a very good idea.

You can stay at downtown Cancun. Hotels there are cheaper and you´re still just 5 minutes from the beach. Try Hotel Xbalamque Cancun, it´s a very nice Mayan themed hotel and the best in downtown Cancun.
