Searching??

I have been on a long battle to find truths about my life. I haven't seen either of my parents in 10 years(good thing) because when I reported my dad for abuse they ran like h**l. So I have been doing research and found out my parents were never really married even though they said they were, and didn't marry until I was gone, in 03. I searched back further and found my dad had an ex he never divorced (making my mom and dads marriage void). I want to talk to the ex to find out if they had any children(my siblings) and if my dad treated them differently or if he's always been sick. Im trying to not only get closure but possibly connect with some family if I have some, because currently I dont. My question for all of you is do you know any other way of finding someone other than the google search for find people.

Also if anyone knows a lady who is 63 born Jan 13 1945 named susie goldman or susie peeples, please let me know.

  1. I'm guessing you know both of your parents' names.  I have no idea in which state you and your sibling were  born, but some states have searchable online birth indexes.  You can access them at Ancestry.com.  Ancestry.com will give you a free trial 2 week membership.  You just cancel before the two weeks are up, and you don't purchase the paid membership.  Two weeks should give you enough time to poke around there.  I've found several people via these birth indexes.

Another thing you can do is to contact state agencies in the state where your adoption took place.  The laws are different in every state, but some states will help facilitate reunion between siblings.

If you update your question to include the state in which you were adopted and the state in which you were born, people will be able to give more appropriate responses.

I found 2 PUBLIC records for Susan Goldman born in 1945:

    4033 24TH ST

    SAN FRANCISCO, CA  94114

    SUSAN A GOLDMAN

    Born  1945

    323 VALLEY RD

    NEPTUNE, NJ  07753   (732) 774-5470

  2. Hiring a private detective is also something you could try if other avenues have ran their course. You might also try public records of the county in which your mother lived. All arrests and court cases are public domain.

Good luck finding some of your family!!

  3. By doing internet searches, you'll get 1000's of results for names.  Narrow them down, such as if both of their names are online somewhere.  Often times, things like arrest warrants, tickets, real estate transactions, etc, are published in newspapers, so it might work to find them that way.  You can go to www.whitepages.com, and they have searches, based on the state you think they might be in, and in that case, you can actually see and narrow it down by age category.  Many online private investigation services are available anywhere from $30-on up.  One of these might be worth it, in the event your time if of value also.
