Searing hot pain between my thumb and wrist

this pain comes on slowly than intensifies.nothing i do seem to help hot, cold, pressure i have taken ibuprofen which eases for a shot time only, i don't want to take a lot of medication and would like to know if there is a natural method. first i need to know what is wrong and i have had x-rays that were negative.

Sounds like a problem with nerve impingement.  Naprosyn (Aleve) is a much better anti-inflammatory and pain reliever than Motrin.  Take 500mg every 12 hours, and I bet you'll see a difference on about dose #3...
