Question:

Searing pain in left side of left leg when standing.

I went to the doctor for some serious pain I've had down the left side of my left leg that started a week prior to the visit. I thought it was a "Charlie Horse" or something else which is why I put off going to my doctor.

Anyway, she gave me muscle relaxers, an anti-inflammatory, and pain meds, but none of which really seem to do any good. And the x-rays came out clean.

She said I just sprained it really bad and I've been off of the leg for four days now and it hasn't gotten much better. I have some relief, but only if I walk bending over. I can't exactly work like this, so is there something I can do to facilitate faster healing?

I've tried heating pads, warm baths with Epsom salt, stretching techniques/exercises, etc. Nothing's working. Or do I just need to stay off it for a few more days?
