Sears ad pops up in the middle of a chess game and I can't close the window. What can I do?

Run your anti-virus and anti-spyware in safe mode.  ( Press F8 during reboot to choose safe mode.) If you get pop-ups you can't close, they are malicious.  You should be able to kill it in safe mode because the process will most likely not start up when the computer does. So... clear out your internet temp files, reboot into safe mode and run sweeps with whatever software you have.

Once the sweeps are done, reboot and create a safe System Restore point.
