  1. You could try Sylvan Learning Centers

  2. Most people I know created jobs for themselves:  roofing, lawn care.  Others went into stores as sales persons, got licensed to sell insurance or to become a Realtor or to sell under the realtor's license.  I'd try for teaching summer school because that will pay the best if you are paid like we are, our hourly rate for hour spent in class.  We have a longer break so had more options.

  3. At a grocery store, the mall, as a lifeguard, you could wash cars, or clean houses, or walk dogs, or write books, or at a summer camp, or help an elderly by being their aide, just look!  Good luck!

  4. Try bookstores. They love seasonal help such as teachers and college students. I worked for a bookstore for nearly three years.

  5. waitressing

Tourism and hanging out at the beach increase business at restaurants and bars.   Waiting on tables and cocktailing can bring in serious money (if you are still young enough to deal with doing doubles, late hours, and being on your feet all day).
