Seasonal employees at Halloween stores that open soon - how much do you get paid?

I will be starting work after Labor Day, getting $7.00/hr. I know it's low, but I love the holiday. Just wondered how that ranks with other pay across the country. Tell me what part of the country, or what state you are in. I'm in the northeast.

In California it's $8 an hour.
