i got pulled over today for no seatbelt(pulling out of the parking lot of where i work). im 20 and on my parents insurance policy. i had 1 speeding ticked 1 year and 8 months ago(trooper got me at 68 in a 55, went to traffic school and got the points taken away), and i got ticketed for a loud exhaust(flowmasters on a 93 mustang 5.0), and tint 1 month ago. they were both dismissed. will this violation raise my rates if i plead guilty, and what would my fines be. i just dont want my parents policy with geico to get cancelled because of me. my parents are both great drivers.

thanks in advance

  1. Well you don't really have a choice except to plead guilty!  You didn't have a seat belt on and obviously there is no way to prove differently!  Fine is usually 100-250 bucks!  I don't think that would raise your insurance but I guess that depends allot on how long your parents have been with the compnay on whether or not they want to cut you a break!  But there is certainly no sense in fighting the ticket.   Thats an impossible one to get dropped!

    Good luck hope that helped
