Seat belts, help! Kia Spectra?

Question

Okay, so I sat in the back seat for the first time a couple of months ago, and my husband did a couple of weeks ago and we checked all the seat belts in my Kia Spectra (2002); and its severly uncomfortable to sit in. I can't adjust the belts at all once I'm in. They just pull tight across my chest and throat and I can't even twist or reach for anything if across the seat or on the floor. Please help!
