Seat leon 1st car help please

Question

i got a couple of questions about it, please take the time to read and answer

im currently 15 and live in uk and doing early research

1) do you think a leon 1.4 (2000 - 2005) is worth as a first car and if so insurance price range

2) can you still get provisional licence when 17, and will it affect insurance of the leon

anything above a 1 ltr as a first car and the insurance will kill you my insurance quote for 1 ltr corsa was over 2 grand so I don't even want to know what one is for a 1.4. but then I discovered that dad's old landi that had been gathering dust for 5 years was my ticket to cheap insurance I got specialist insurance for that and I'm paying about 500 a year for a big land rover defender commercial vehicle!

try gocompare.com for the insurance...repair costs might be a little pricey  i think you can still get the provisional at 17
