  1. last time i flew in an A340 it think it was at 45.. whatever letter is at the window... but it was at the wing

and that happened to be from MNL

  2. CL,l if you want to hear the engine on take-off, you need to sit on the window seat behind the wing. You will not be able to see the engine, but you will be able to hear it. The air goes in the front of the engine, which is visible in front of the wing, but the exhaust and noise comes out the back end, which is under the wing and not visible from the passenger cabin. The sound is much more easily heard in the rear of the aircraft, so go to your seat chart and pick a window seat at the extreme rear of the aircraft. Seats 54-69 A or K will do for you.

Also, looking at the seat chart for the 343, the only seats with a view of the engines are in first and business class.

    Regards,

    Dan

  3. Seat 36-40 A or K would put you within view of the engines.
