I am making my own seating chart for my wedding, I am trying to get ideas on how I can decorate the board, I know it's table #'s and the guest names, but should I type all that information out then post it on the board, and what are some crative ideas to make the board stand out.

  1. I wouldn't do a board. No one wants to have to map out their seat! I had someone stand at the entrance. People would tell her their name, and then she would tell them which table number to go to, and point them in the right direction... They could find the table numbers from there..... OR, you can have a table set up at the entrance with everyone's names, arranged alphabetically by last name. Then they find their card. On that card is their name and table number, then they go find it. I would suggest one of those.

  2. I was going to go with a seating board so I googled it. Along the way I found a forum that was talking about escort cards. You can have any theme you want, little boats, horseshoes, suncatcher crystals etc. You have a card with the guests name on the front and the table name/number on the back. It was in Vogue wedding forums or search escort cards on google. I'm so happy with what I've gone with - never going back to a board!

  3. Sense I am assuming you won the board be fun and creative with it. Work with your color scheme. If you are doing blues. The make a border with blue jems and stones. Put some pictures up of you and you husband to be. If you are going with any type of theme in the wedding like beach put sea shells on it or if your doing a mexican theme a sombrero stick or maracas.

Yes you should types he info up and post it on the board. Do it in alphabetical order with their last names. Also put the numbers in order.
