Seattle Mariners’ Mike Carp talks about recent 0-3 loss to the Texas Rangers – MLB Update

The Seattle Mariners crashed out against the Texas Rangers 0-3 on Sunday, September 18 at Safeco Field in Seattle. The club lost a chance to win a series against the American League West leaders but they gained so much more.
The club went on to lose in their latest bout with the crown stars but first baseman Mike Carp took the opportunity to comment on the situation.
The star infielder is one of the four rookies in the line-up that went against the Rangers on Sunday. He made a lot of sense to the fans who have been expecting a great deal from their club, lately.
"We're facing playoff teams right now," said Carp. "They're bringing their 'A' game every time they come out. Not to say we're not, but they've got their best guys going and doing everything they can to win, so they're going to be tough. I think it's a good
experience for us. Obviously it's not very good to struggle, but at the same time, we'll remember that going into next year when we face these guys."
Manager Eric Wedge brought out the rookies to go up against the Texans’ Matt Harrison. The opportunities were limited but the rising stars proved they have potential to manage the best in the Major Leagues. Felix Hernandez may not have been supported well
on the mound by the Seattle hitters in the strike zone, but there is a good crop of players going to the top.
Carp makes a lot of sense on gaining experience. At the moment, major teams are not letting their rookies get a good role in the first choice team. Their role is limited. For a team like Seattle, rookies really have a chance to go out and display their talents.
The Seattle first baseman has played in 21 games, so far, in this season. His hitting average is .315 and he has seven runs to his name. He is surely one of the infielders to keep an eye on in 2012.
