Seattle Mariners crush Texas Rangers 10-3 – MLB Recap
The Seattle Mariners bounced back in the second game of their three-match regular series encounter on Tuesday, May 29 at Rangers Ballpark when they defeated the Texas Rangers 10-3 in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
The Rangers won the first game of the series but with this tremendous comeback victory by Seattle, the Mariners are right into the series as the final game will be played on Wednesday, May 30.
Third baseman Kyle Seager played well for the Mariners as his leadoff double in the eight shaped up the game for Seattle.
"It's definitely good for us to be able to put up some runs, especially late in the game, Every once in a while, you break out. Any time we can get everybody putting up some good ABs like that, it's definitely positive." said Kyle Seager.
Team manager Ron Washington said, "I don't think you'll see again I have to go out and get Mike and Ogando in the same inning, They put the ball in play, found holes."
Catcher John Jaso also played well for the Mariners as he later said, “Everybody was going up there with a plan. We had runners on all the bases, and guys were going up there with a good approach.” Jaso said.
Most importantly, the Mariners pitchers were sharp on the mound. They kept their composure and slowly rallied past the Rangers’ batting offence.
Especially Jason Vargas was brilliant on the mound for 6.2 innings. He finished off receiving five hits and three runs along with three earned runs.
On the other hand, the Rangers pitchers proved no good for their team and could not save the game. They were too waivered and remained unable to stop the Mariners batting prowess.
From starter Scott Feldman to relief pitcher Alexi Ogando to closer Mike Adams, all allowed total runs which were enough for the Mariners to take the game away.
At the moment, the Mariners feel a slight boost in their morale as they defeated the last year’s World Series finalists with complete authority and now hoping a good beginning from next game onwards.
