Seattle Seahawks beat Baltimore Ravens 22-17 in Week 10 – NFL Recap
Marshawn Lynch and the Seattle Seahawks’ only touchdown enabled them to beat their competitive rival Baltimore Ravens at the last moment of their one of the crucial tie in the current seasons of American football league, the National
Football League (NFL).
It was brilliant show by Lynch on Sunday as in the last few moments of the game he caught a pass only few yards short of their first down. He then only had two players in his way to reach the final line, which he successfully reached
by comprehensively beating both Jarret Johnson and Ray Lewis to ensure that Seahawks will come out as victorious 22-17.
Lynch at the end finished with 109 yard rushing. The Seahawks only touchdown was also to his credit.
"He made like he was out there in the backyard playing against some of his cousins or something," Seattle quarterback Tarvaris Jackson said. "He made a great move."
It was brilliant game display by the Lynch. He managed to add four runs to ensure that Jackson had to do knee twice.
He is the first Seattle running back in the last three seasons to have rushed 100-yards. Last time the mark achieved was by Julius Jones, in early 2008.
It was also to the fumbles and other team mistakes by the Ravens that made the win at the end easy for Seahawks. David Reed throughout the match fumbled two times on kickoff returns, conceding 6 points to opponents. Meanwhile,
David Hawthorne returned Flacco's lone interception inside the Ravens. This resulted into another field goal. Moreover, a clear field goal was missed by Bill Cundiff.
It was third consecutive loss for Ravens, while second victory for the Seahawks as they had beaten the New York Giants earlier in October.
It seemed nothing went well for the Ravens as the majestic skills Flacco had shown in their game during last week were no more in Sunday's game. He was hardly able to challenge the Seahawks. He was 29 of 52 for 255 yards.
''We understand that we are going to be a target of a lot of criticism right now. We understand that. We understand it's going to be local; it's going to be national,'' coach John Harbaugh said. ''We understand the fans are very
disappointed in the game. We're very disappointed in the game. We had an opportunity here to do something to separate ourselves a little bit in our division and we didn't finish.''
This was another flop added to the list of the Ravens. This added to their slip-ups earlier this season including their loss at Tennessee and Jacksonville. They earlier, however, recorded three consecutive wins, leading the season
currently at 6-3.
