Seattle Seahawks hopeful to get injured players back against St. Louis Rams – NFL News
As the injured players recover, the team management of Seattle Seahawks is hoping to include all the stars in the team ensuring that they give tough time to St. Louis Rams in the week 11 game of the National Football League current
season.
During the past two weeks, wide receivers Doug Baldwin and Sidney Rice, reserve linebacker David Vobora and strong safety Kam Chancellor suffered head injuries. In the match against Baltimore Ravens in the week 10 game, Baldwin,
Chancellor and Rice left the game with concussions while Vobora was injured a week before that.
Baldwin has appeared in nine games this season, but did not start any. He has two touchdowns on his name. Rice, on the other hand, has started seven games this season recording one touchdown and has 29 receives with 449 yards.
Joining Seahawks after playing for St. Louis Rams, Vobora is yet to appear in any game this season while Chancellor has 55 tackles and three interceptions in the eight games he has played.
Seahawks coach Peter Carroll on Wednesday confirmed that all of them were recovering at a good pace and hoped that they all would make it to the final line-up on Sunday.
“We’re looking pretty good. These guys are feeling pretty good,” the coach said.
This season is proving to be a disappointing one for Seahawks as they have only won three matches. They are defeated six times and are ranked at the second spot in the National Football League West division.
Although Rams are also having a poor season so far, it would be in the interest of Seahawks to play their best players to improve the franchise’ statistics.
The luck seems to be going against Seahawks as the practice session on Wednesday brought another bad news for them in the form of rookie right tackle James Carpenter’s injury. The 22-year-old rookie was selected by Seahawks in
the 2011 NFL Draft and has started nine games this season.
Not only that, they also lost offensive guard John Moffitt, who is out of the season after receiving a knee injury during the game against Ravens. Moffitt is expected to undergo a surgery and will take around more than three months
to recover.
