Seattle Seahawks look to dominate the hapless St. Louis Rams in Week 14 – NFL Preview
Hoping to break the shackles this time, the hapless St. Louis Rams are travelling to face Seattle Seahawks at the Century Link Field in the week-14 game of the National Football League current season on Monday.
Rams are undoubtedly miserable and slightly unfortunate this season. They got the first win in their seventh game and continued their pathetic run until the last week, by the end of which the Rams had 10 defeats and were placed
at the bottom of the National Football Conference West division.
Apart from the defeats, the unlucky Rams have been tormented badly by the injuries of their key players. Quarterback Sam Bradford was out of the last few games. His replacement, A.J. Feeley, is also injured and will not play on
Monday. Bradford missed the practice on Friday as well and his status for the game is still doubtful.
Rams spent an extra day to practise for their 13th game and coach Steve Spagnuolo thinks that it will help his team.
“There’s some balls bouncing in the air right now, but I tell you what, the extra day is going to help,” the coach said. “The fact that we’re able to get some guys a little bit healthy is a good thing. And we’ll work through the
reps. The guys are out here working right now and we’ll figure out the O-line and the quarterback thing.”
Contrary to Rams, Seahawks do have a slight hope of entering the postseason, and that too will be through a wild-card. They are tied for the second place in the NFC West division with Arizona Cardinals. Both the teams have a record
of 5-7 this season.
During the last victory against Philadelphia Eagles, Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch had 22 carries for 148 yards, and scored two touchdowns. The team is expecting him to repeat the heroics on Monday. Little more rushing yards
will not hurt them either!
Seahawks have had enough preparation time for this game as they played Eagles last Thursday. Coach Pete Carroll said that his players tried to take advantage of the long break to get a fresh and healthier start.
