At New York
After losing three of their starting four games, Seahawks were displaying signs of a dreadful unit, but they had learnt their lesson, or at least some of it.
When they travelled to face New York Giants, they were an improved offensive unit.
The evenly-poised battle became thrilling in the final quarter, prior to which, Seahawks were leading 16-14.
Giants scored a touchdown and a field goal to get ahead, but Seahawks scored two touchdowns in the final three minutes of the game and won, 36-25.
At Cleveland
After an impressive victory, Seahawks faced Cleveland Browns in what became a boring game for the fans.
The defence of both the teams played brilliantly and no touchdown was allowed by either side throughout the game.
The first quarter went scoreless. Browns scored a field goal in the second and Seahawks did the same in the third.
However, Browns managed another field goal in the final of the low scoring game to get the victory, 6-3.
Against Cincinnati Bengals
Seahawks’ defence, which was lauded for performing well against Cleveland Browns despite the loss, failed badly against Cincinnati Bengals.
After scoring 10 points in the first quarter, Bengals remained in the lead until the end. They scored seven points in the second quarter and 17 in the final to beat Seahawks, 34-12.
At Dallas
Dallas Cowboys was also dominant over Seahawks, handing Seattle its third straight and sixth overall defeat when they visited Dallas.
The game was levelled at halftime, 6-6, but Cowboys scored two touchdowns and a field goal in the second half, whereas Seahawks managed only a touchdown.
Jackson was unable to improve. He completed 17 of 30 attempted passes for 221 yards, but sent three interceptions and got a quarterback rating of 40.4.
Against Baltimore Ravens
Out of eight games, Seahawks had lost six and despite showing slight improvements, they were unable to completely overcome their flaws.
Their worries were lessened when they played against Baltimore Ravens, thanks to Jackson's performance, who did not throw any interceptions this time.
Seahawks took a 10-point lead in the first quarter and went on to score nine more points in the second.
After the halftime, they only scored one field goal, but the defence contained the Ravens, who could only get 10 points in the second half.
The final scores settled at 22-17 in favour of Seattle Seahawks.
At St. Louis
The lowly St. Louis Rams provided a good practice to Seattle Seahawks, desperately in need to stay on the winning side.
Seahawks stayed behind in the first quarter as Rams managed a touchdown. However, the rest of the game was for Seahawks to enjoy.
They scored a touchdown and a field goal in the second quarter to take the lead, which was increased in the third quarter when another touchdown was scored.
In the final quarter, Seahawks scored another touchdown, which gave them a decisive 17-point lead.
The game ended at 24-7.
Jackson managed to throw a touchdown pass, but also sent two interceptions, raising concerns over his ability to control the accuracy of his passes.
