Seattle Seahawks ready to host Washington Redskins at CenturyLink Field – NFL Preview
Washington Redskins have a tough and challenging week ahead as they travel to play Seattle Seahawks at the CenturyLink Field in the week 12 game of the National Football League current season on Sunday.
The battle will be tough because they carry at their back a humiliating burden of six-game losing streak. They are determined to win this time and show the world that they can do much more than only giving good competitions to
the opponents before coming out of the field as losers.
The task is challenging because they are coming face-to-face with Seahawks that have not been able to win three consecutive games since the year 2007. Seahawks have won their last two games and are counting on this opportunity
to break the shackles. They will do everything they can to stretch their on-going streak.
Redskins started the season well, winning three of their four starting games. Week five was their bye, and following it they have drowned deeper with each week. The trend continued for six weeks, and Redskins are determined to
set a new fashion that, of course, will not be inspired by defeats.
Their came too close to win the last week game against Cowboys, but surrendered during the overtime. However, the team members were satisfied that they gave a tough time to the opponents. Most of them think that Redskins have a
capability of winning the game if a little improvement is made in the game.
"It just gives you a lot of confidence. You're just excited on the sidelines," Redskins’ defensive tackle Barry Cofield said. "You feel like you've got a puncher's chance, and that's all you can ask for. We feel like if our offense
scores more than 20 points, we should win."
Redskins might be able to acquire services of injured players, safety LaRon Landry and wide receiver Santana Moss, to strengthen their line-up.
Meanwhile, Seahawks are focusing only on their third straight victory. Ranked second in the National Football Conference West division, Seahawks easily defeated St. Louis Rams last week 24-7. They can achieve their goal as they
are going to play three games at their home field.
“We're coming around," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said about the winning streak. "We've got to do something with this week. Two weeks doesn't mean much to me, but it is two weeks better than we were.”
