Seattle Sounders dedicated 3—0 win against Toronto FC to Steve Zakuani and O’Brian White

The team dedicated the win to the two players missing from the team, “First off, I want to say to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steve-Zakuani-c34184 and O’Brian White that we miss you,” head coach Sigi Schmid said at the outset of the postmatch press conference. “We want you guys back with
us as soon as possible. The effort the guys put out there tonight was a tribute to you as much as it was to our team.”
The team missed the services of the players in attacking positions but replacements, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roger-Levesque-c31525 for OB, made full use of the opportunity and didn't let the team down.
Zakuani was hurt in last week’s match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Colorado-Rapids-c38849 when Brian Mullan’s reckless tackle on the left winger and broke his leg in two places. Mullan was handed out a nine-match ban in addition to the red card suspension of one match. O’Brian incurred
a blood clot in his leg and had to be operated to get it removed. There is no confirmation as to when the players will be able to return to regular football, however, the team hopes that both, Zakuani and White get through their recovery period and return
to training as soon as possible.
“We’re looking forward to having them back at some point,” Levesque said. “They are just as much a part of this team now as they were before. It’s definitely having them in the backs of our minds and wanting to go out and put in a good performance.”

“Obviously, those guys are a big part of this team and we will miss them going forward, but that’s always been a characteristic of this team from Day 1,” Levesque said. “If guys are out for whatever reason, then there are other guys who step up and do the
work.”
However, there are some questions being raised in MLS circles whether this combination will be good enough for the whole season. Thrashing TFC might not be a huge task, as the Canadian outfit remains unpredictable and mostly out of shape in league. However,
the next match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/DC-United-c38901 at RFK Stadium, on May 4, will be the true test of the team, and the replacements.
