The striker’s agent insists that talks of a move to the Russian outfit are premature, as an offer is missing; insists that matters between the joint-owners are yet to be resolved.
Sebastian Giovinco’s agent has underlined that for the time being, all talk of the player’s transfer to Zenit is shooting arrows in the air, as there has been no concrete offer from the club.
Reports emerged, recently, pairing the striker with a summer transfer to the Russian giants, but his agent has dismissed all such talks as fundamentally premature.
The striker’s agent expressed his praise for the Russian prospect saying that the club is wonderful establishment to be a part of. However, he insisted that the player is co-owned by two clubs, and you cannot sideline the complexities that arise in the matter
due to that fact. The representative maintained that the first step in the anticipated transfer will have to start with the fulfilment of contract between the co-owners. He pointed out that they are still missing a concrete offer from Zenit, and insisted that
they will logically have to wait for an offer to arrive before they can agree or disagree with it.
“That agreement between those two clubs has still to be resolved first…As a result, one cannot comment or express favourability, also because there has been nothing concrete from Zenit. With no offer, you can’t be in favour of a move or not.”
Parma had to pay €3.5million to attain a co-ownership for the striker in summer. He has managed to score 10 goals in the 27 league appearances for his club, so far this season.
The 25-year-old has developed a reputation of a dangerous striker, and earned a nickname of Formica Atomica (atomic ant) for the explosive power in the small stature of the striker. The second-striker to Parma is also a part of the Italian national side,
having already made 25 appearances for Azzurri and scored five goals in the process.
The aggressor remained with Juventus for 14 years, first as a youth player till 2007, and then in the senior team till 2011 before moving to Empoli on loan, and then eventually to Parma on a co-ownership deal with the Old Lady.
