Sebastian Giovinco reiterates desire to remain at Parma – Serie A news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastian-Giovinco-c32724 has stated that he wants to remain at Parma and has no intention of returning to his parent club, Juventus FC. The midfielder had an impressive season with the Tardini outfit and insists that he is happy with his current club.
Giovinco was loaned to Parma at start of the last season and the Crusaders have the option to buy 50 percent of the player’s transfer rights when the season ends. The Italian has scored seven goals this season in a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Total-c40747 of 32 appearances made for the club.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 International claimed that he will remain at Parma next season and that he has no plans of a return to Turin. The midfielder stated that he has the support of the directors of the club and they are clear that they want him.
“I think that I will remain at Parma. President Tommaso Ghirardi and director Pietro Leonardi have been quite clear about it. Unless there are some radical changes to the plans, then I am 99 per cent sure of remaining here,” he was quoted as saying in an
interview to a Television channel.
The 24-year-old revealed that Juventus had clearly told him that he was not in the future plans of the club, making it logical to stay with I Ducali. He added that he would prefer first-team football at Parma rather than sitting on the bench in Turin. The
winger does not intend to make another mistake by going back to Juventus as he did when he had a successful loan spell with Empoli.
“Juventus were very clear with me. They told me that I wasn’t a part of their project and it is better for me to stay at Parma. I don’t want to make the same mistake I did a few years ago. It has been my best season yet,” he concluded.
Parma finished the season in 12th place with 46 points after winning 11 of the 38 games played. The Gialloblu had a great second-half to the Serie A season and finished well above the relegation zone, 10 points above 17th placed UC
Sampdoria.
