The Crociati striker has rejected a return to the Turin giants and is keen to stay at Stadio Ennio Tardini to play regular football.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastian-Giovinco-c32724 has turned down a potential return to Juventus in the ongoing winter transfer window, and insists he will stay at Parma.
After finding first-team opportunities hard to come by at Juve, Giovinco was loaned to Parma in August 2010. Following an impressive loan spell at Stadio Ennio Tardini, the Crociati bought 50% rights of the Italian international
in the summer.
The 24-year-old has had a successful season with the Crusaders so far, and has scored 7 goals in 14 appearances in the Italian top flight. The Turin giants are keen to bring him back to Juventus Arena, but the attacker wants to
remain at Parma. The striker insisted that he owes the club a lot because they trusted in his abilities and rescued his career.
While talking to Media set Premium, Giovinco insisted,
“Do Juventus want me back right away? One thing is certain: I’m staying at Parma. I chose this club because from the start they showed the most concrete interest in me.”
The pocket-sized striker believes that had he been given more opportunities at Juve, he could have become a much better player. He believes that he could have grown a lot under the shadows of players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Del-Piero-c4726,
but Juve bosses did not trust his abilities. However, Giovinco praised the Juve fans for supporting him and appreciating his role with the club.
“I can only speak well of the Juve fans, as they are the only ones who always supported me and tried to stop me leaving. I could’ve learned so much by playing for Juventus alongside champions like Alex Del Piero, but I wasn’t given
the chance. They chose another path and now I hope to go along it as far as possible,” concluded the Italian international.
Parma will host Juventus later this month, and Giovinco definitely has a score to settle against his former employers.
