Oxlade-Chamberlain’s rise to the English national team squad has been phenomenal to say the least. Just a year ago he was playing for Southampton but now he is playing for England in the European Championships.
Chamberlain caught the eye whilst doing well for Arsenal in the previous English Premier League season where Arsene Wenger showcased confidence in the youngster and allowed him to express himself on the field. The results were
immediate as Arsenal found a new thrust in their offensive third of the field and Oxlade-Chamberlain got to make his case for inclusion in Roy Hodgson’s squad for the European Championships.

He added, "It says that he’s a guy with a lot of talent and that he can play football, so good on him." Speaking about England’s encounter with Sweden, the midfielder said, "It is a special game and a lot of Swedes feel it is a
special game. The Premier League is a league I follow closely and have grown up with, and England is one of the biggest countries in football."
Arsenal will want Oxlade to get as many matches as possible at the international arena especially in a competition such as the European Championships but Wenger will be wary of the youngsters fatigue levels as he won’t want him
to return to the club injured to severely fatigued.
