Sunderland winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastian-Larsson-c32733 has urged his side not to waste the win over Manchester City with a bad result at Wigan Athletic in the upcoming fixture.
The Black Cats will take on Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium on Tuesday in the mid-week fixture, which will make it their second game in three days. The tough schedule has undoubtedly taken its toll on the squad with various players out with injuries and
illness.
However, Sunderland are on their way up after the arrival of Martin O’Neill as was shown by their terrific win over City and Larsson urged his side to retain their winning ways. According to the 26-year-old, a poor result would be horrible after the jubilant
win in their last fixture.
Larsson said while speaking to reporters:
“It feels like the game is only a couple of hours away, so it is going to be tough. But yesterday, we did what we had to do and put in a good performance and got the three points, and that's what you need to do.”
Now we want to try to win that game as well. We have put some points on the board and we can relax a bit more and try to play with a bit more freedom.”
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015 international believed his side could play a more relaxed game since they had registered a win over the league leaders and were going into the fixture as favourites to win the match. He stressed on the importance of winning the upcoming game.
He revealed how despite illness and injuries, his side were determined to win. Larsson himself was out with illness, along with Keiren Westwood and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Titus-Bramble-c35166 and

Larsson said:
“To be honest, it's a bit of a crazy schedule, especially with them [Wigan] having one day extra rest.”
Even with all the missing players Sunderland managed to secure a good result, this will give them confidence going into the match against Wigan.
He continued:
“But I suppose that made the result even more important because it took so much out of us.”
