Sebastian Ribas’ signatures sealed by Genoa – Serie A news
Former Spezia striker, Sebastian Ribas, has been snapped up by Italian outfit, Genoa, for three years. This was revealed by the club President, Enrico Preziosi, who was delighted to announce the signing and wished him success throughout his stay at Stadio
Luigi Ferraris.
The Uruguayan was also pleased to be back in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567, Ribas, failed to impress the officials and did not manage a single League game. As a result, the 23-year-old was loaned out
to another Italian based outfit, Spezia Calcio, where he only managed four appearances. The striker c*m midfielder was then finally sold to a Ligue 2 outfit, Dijon FCO.
The club president reckoned that the striker can prove to be a blessing for Genoa. He also referred back to his fine form during the 2010/11 season where the Uruguayan was highest goal scorer in French second division. Ribas inspired his French club into
the First Division. After continuously monitoring the midfielder’s performance, he was finally snapped up by the Red-Blues.
Ribas joined Dijon in 2008 and made a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Skills-c40539 and relentless pace. There was a massive disappointment amongst
the Dijon officials and fans when it was revealed that the 23-year-old himself wants to leave the club.
Genoa President was found quoting on Sunday, "Ribas signed, he's already a Genoa player."
The youngster has not yet appeared for the Uruguayan national side and hoped that he could impress his country officials while playing for the Italian outfit.
Ribas started his playing career with a Uruguay-based club, Juventud, in 2005 and made 17 League appearances from which he bagged six goals.
Genoa finished last season 10th on the table with 51 points. The club officials are hoping that the newly employed youngster could help the Red-Blues finish somewhere in the top four. The former Juventud player will officially be called a Genoa
player from next month.
