Sebastian Vettel: The young gun of Formula 1

He is young, he is entertaining and he is a German with a sense of humour. Sebastian Vettel has been more than outstanding since he joined Toro Rosso to begin his first full Formula 1 season in 2008. Sebastian clearly had the spark in him when he secured
a phenomenal victory at a wet Grand Prix in Italy at the legendary track Monza and earned himself a spot in Red Bull for the 2009 season.
Red Bull figured that this was the best decision they made since the team began its Formula 1 journey as Sebastian Vettel finished in 2nd place in the drivers’ and challenged the reigning world champion Jenson Button throughout the season. Sebastian
finished the championship with 84 points while Jenson Button won the championship with 95 points. It seemed that Sebastian might have even won the championship only if he raced more maturely, but no one could blame the young German driver as this was just
his 2nd season and therefore he was not experienced enough to challenge the British driver to that extend.
However, his 2009 performance definitely proved that Sebastian Vettel was a potential championship winner and he proved this in the following season. He scored the most pole positions in the 2010 season and made his mark in the sport.
Sebastian Vettel raced like never before and pushed as harder as any driver in the world could. With the help of his team and team boss Christian Horner, it seems that Red Bull has made its mark in the sport and according to Christian; the team will evolve
itself around the young racer and build its advancements and upgrades according to Vettel’s likings rather than Mark Webber’s since Mark has already been in the sport for 10 years and does not have much time in the sport as he clearly stated that he might
retire after a couple of seasons.
It seems that Sebastian has the perfect situation before him and can clearly control the team according to his own whims. After what Christian Horner said, there is no way that Sebastian would leave the team since the team is already looking stronger than
Ferrari or McLaren and by the looks of it, Red Bull has a bright future and they will continue to flourish in the sport.
As for Sebastian Vettel, he is definitely the next big thing in every way and there is no stopping him. Even if Red Bull does not succeed in the coming seasons, neither Ferrari nor McLaren will let him go anywhere and Sebastian without a doubt has a bright
future and has the potential of winning the drivers’ title without a shadow of doubt.
The young German has been extremely marvelous this season as he is currently just 15 points adrift of the current championship leader Fernando Alonso. Mark Webber lost the championship lead two races ago at the Korean Grand Prix when Red Bull had a disastrous
race as both drivers were unable to finish the race and it seemed that Red Bull was struggling in wet conditions vitally as it was the first wet race of the season and on top of that, the Korean International circuit is the most slipperiest track on the Formula
1 calendar.
However, Red Bull was able to recover from the deficit as they scored a 1-2 finish at the Brazilian Grand Prix with Sebastian in 1st place followed by Mark Webber in 2nd.
Red Bull has officially won the constructors’ title but it seems that the drivers’ title is still hanging in the balance with four contenders still racing for it with just one race remaining at Abu Dhabi.
Sebastian Vettel has by far been the fastest season by a mile with 9 pole positions and a handful of fastest lap times. Sebastian is the most highly acclaimed driver by the professionals and he is the next top gun of Formula 1 for sure.
