Sebastian Vettel earns fourth consecutive race victory – Formula 1 news
Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing succeeded at scoring his fourth consecutive race victory by winning the Indian Grand Prix held this Sunday.
Vettel led all the three free practice sessions and qualified for the race with the quickest time scoring a pole position for Red Bull.
“Big thanks to the team, everyone - I said it on the radio - every single one is pushing very hard,” Vettel said. “There's not one thing that stands out and makes a difference. Not today, not yesterday but this weekend; I think it's all of us working hand
in hand together, if we're here at the track or back in Milton Keynes everyone is pushing hard and I think that's what makes the difference. I'm very happy and glad to be part of that and just enjoying the moment.”
The driver was also the one to win the same race last year too. Vettel stated that it was incredible that the team was able to earn the trophy twice. The driver was able to lead all the sixty laps of the race despite having to deal with technical issues
in his Red Bull car around the end of the race. Some parts of the floor of the Red Bull kept touching the circuit which resulted in emitting sparks.
Fernando Alonso of Ferrari had been leading the championship for most of the season until Vettel beat him for that position by winning the Korean Grand Prix. Vettel had a six-point lead over Alonso before the race this weekend and was able to widen his lead
even more by earning the race win. Alonso had qualified fifth for the race and struggled to earn second finish just 9.4 seconds behind Vettel.
Just like before, Vettel thinks that they can still expect anything until the end of this season. He stated that the title might be in his reach but they cannot underestimate the Ferrari driver to win it either.
The latest win has brought the six-point lead to a 13-point lead for Vettel over Alonso. On the other hand, Red Bull racing now leads the constructors’ championship with a ninety one-point lead over Ferrari who are in the second place.
