Sebastian Vettel has complete faith in Red Bull Racing – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel has said that he has complete faith in his team regardless of the difficult set off this year for the defence of his championship title.
The two-time world champion secured second podium finish in the first race of the season held at Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia after qualifying for the sixth place in the grid.
However, he could not be able to score any point in the second race held at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia because of his collision with Narain Karthikeyan of Hispania Racing Team (HRT).
Nevertheless, the defending champion has expressed that he has full confidence on his competitive team.
“After a few days off, I went back to the factory in Milton Keynes to work on the team and our car. I admit, the first two races weren't exactly perfect but they weren't that bad either. We proved we can able to compete with the strongest teams and that's
very important,” said Vettel.
Furthermore, he said that he has overcome on the issue that happened at Sepang while he said that he is looking forward to the upcoming races.
“We now have 18 more races ahead of us and we will do all we can to defend our titles. I have total faith in the team, the car and myself. There's still much for us to do, but together as a team we can accomplish anything,” he said.
Red Bull has won the last two championship titles out of which they have completely dominated during the preceding year with their driver, Vettel who took 11 victories out of 19 races.
Conversely, they struggled with the upgrades made in RB8 during the last day of the final test held at Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona in which they only covered 23 laps and set the last best time.
Nonetheless, the double world champions are working at their best in order to make the necessary advancements and the substantial preparations to enhance the pace of their car for Chinese Grand Prix which is going to be held at Shanghai International Circuit
on April 15, 2012.
