Sebastian Vettel keeps distance from his so-called fans – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel has said that he keeps distance from his so-called fans who don’t respect the sport after some of his followers abused Bruno Senna of Williams because of the incident happened in the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Vettel spun in the opening lap of the season finale because of his contact with Senna due to which his car’s exhaust was damaged that nearly cost him his third successive championship title.
Nevertheless, he fought tremendously well until the end and still managed to secure 6th place finish in the race which eventually helped him in claiming the world championship title by three points from his major rival, Fernando Alonso of Ferrari.
The veteran German driver was really excited at the end of the race and passed some remarks about the Brazilian.
“The grave of Ayrton Senna is here in Sao Paulo. Maybe someone has to go there and tell him what his nephew did today,” Vettel said just after the race.
Although, he said those words while smiling and in a sense of a joke, but according to the reports of the German media, his fans are degrading Senna on the social media websites.
Meanwhile, Vettel has said that he has nothing to do with such fans who don’t respect other drivers in the sport. In addition, he said that they are all part of F1 and will never tolerate such things for anyone.
“I clearly distance myself from these so-called fans. In the end we are all part of a sport and it can always happen that we get in each other’s way,” he told Sport Bild.
It will be important to note that Ferrari wrote an unofficial letter to FIA in which they asked for clarification over the 25-year-old’s pass in the last race. However, the three-time world champion said that he wasn’t worried about anything as he always
knew that he did nothing wrong.
“I always knew that I’d done nothing wrong,” he insisted.
The youngest triple world champion has impressed everyone with his amazing driving skills and talent in this season and it will be thrilling to see how he shows up in the next year.
