Sebastian Vettel scores his 4th consecutive pole position at the Turkish Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel is at it again as he just scored his 4th consecutive pole position this year for the Turkish Grand Prix.
The reigning world champion has a perfect score up until now as he has scored 4 pole positions in 4 races.
However, he was unable to maintain his perfect race victory record at the Chinese Grand Prix as McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton scored his first victory of the season back then and ruined Vettel’s perfect run.
The young German has won two out of three races so far and it seems that since he is going to start from the first place on the grid at the Turkish Grand Prix as well, his chances of scoring three wins in the first four races of the season have now increased.
He is going to start the race ahead of his teammate Mark Webber who scored the second fastest time of the session which was 4 tenths short than his teammate’s. Surprisingly, Nico Rosberg scored the 3rd fastest time of the session followed by Lewis
Hamilton’s 4th fastest time.
It was quite a disappointing session for McLaren as Jenson Button scored the 6th fastest time of the session almost 1 tenth of a second short of Fernando Alonso’s 5th fastest time of the session.
Vitaly Petrov and Michael Schumacher follow them as they scored the 7th and 8th fastest times of the session respectively. Nick Heidfeld was the slowest driver of the session but still he is going to start ahead of Felipe Massa at the
upcoming race since the Brazilian did not take part in the Q3 session.
The upcoming race is going to be quite competitive as all of the teams are going to try their best to defeat the two Red Bull drivers ahead of the field. The start of the race is going to be vital for all of the drivers as the driver to reach the first corner
before everyone else would gain a noticeable advantage throughout the race.
