Sebastian Vettel still hopeful of the title
Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel missed out on winning the Korean Grand Prix as his engine gave way just few laps before the end. It sure was an unfortunate way to end another prospective race that he could have won. It was the
9th time this season that Vettel had managed to get pole position in qualifying, but out of those 9 occasions the Austrian managed to win just 2 races.
However, regardless of another  big disappointment Sebastian Vettel believes that he still has a great shot at winning his first World Championship.
If Vettel had managed to win the race he would have been leading the driver standings for the first time this season. Instead he is not in 4th place and is 25 behind table topper Fernando Alonso. There are two more races
left in the season the next race will be held in Brazil, while the final race will take place at Abu Dhabi.
Sebastian Vettel is the only title contender this season that has not been able to get on top of the table till now and admits that chances of him winning the title are now slim. But he will go all out in the final 2 races to make
sure he gives it his all. Vettel said that he is not someone who would give up on something, and that is the reason he will continue to fight till the final race is over.
"Of course, it is even harder and more interesting to try to go for the title, but as long as I have a tiny chance, We still have two races to go, and we all saw in Korea how quickly things can change”.
"The race for the title is not over yet so let's wait to see what the chequered flag in Abu Dhabi brings." Said Vettel
Sebastian Vettel encountered an engine failure right when he had victory in sight. It added to the miserable weekend for Red Bull where Mark Webber had crashed out early on the wet track. Mark Webber did admit that it was his own
fault that saw him being eliminated from the race, but Vettel could not even blame himself and could only look to the heavens for some luck.
Vettel said that what happened in Korea was no one’s fault. These things just tend to happen and no one can actually do anything about it. He added that the engine failure had nothing to do with his speed or his style of driving.
The German said that when he approached turn 17 his car felt fine and he was looking forward to a race win. But as soon as he made the turn a row of cylinders in his engine stopped working, and just half of his engine was still intact.
Sebastian Vettel said that, at that moment he knew it would be only few more seconds before the car came to a halt. The 23 year old went on to say that it was the final race for that engine and it would have been great if it could
have lasted just a few more laps.
Meanwhile, commenting on the rumours of rift between him and Webber, Sebastian Vettel said that when 2 drivers in one team are fighting for the same title there are bound to be problems from time to time. He added, though, that
over the course of the season there were number of occasions when the two drivers did not agree on some issues but they had been resolved behind closed doors. He added that Mark Webber is a good team mate and admitted that it is a great thing for the team
that both drivers have been reckoning for the title this season.
