Sebastian Vettel still sees green light for the title
Although trailing Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber by 14 points, with three races to go, Sebastian Vettel maintained he could still win this year’s title.
While Vettel's position looked even more dismal earlier in the season, he put the proverbial pedal to the metal and managed to close the gap with his German team-mate, giving him a shot at the Championship.
“It has been looking worse this year for me,” Vettel noted.  “And now we are in a good position.  The car was really good in the last couple of races.”
Citing recent F1 upsets, Vettel refused to give in to undue pessimism.
"What happened in 2007 happened for a reason and Kimi [Raikkonen] had quite a bad chance of winning the championship being 17 points behind, so of course he showed it is possible.”

Indeed, the 2007 upset stunned the F1 world.  Driving for Ferrari, Raikkonen managed to come back from a series of setbacks to beat McLaren drivers Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso by a mere one point,
confirming Yogi Berra’s famous dictum that ‘it ain’t over till it’s over.’
"With three races to go, all of us are in a position to do so [win], some are better, some worse, but that is racing,” said the hopeful Vettel.
Disparaging any notion of collusion with his teammate, Webber asserted that he will do his utmost in every event and has no plans to restructure his approach in the final races of this season.  “I will
keep doing what I am doing,” said the favoured racer.  "I just need to keep doing my best, and if I do, the best the result will take care of itself."
Enjoying an impressive lead over the rest of the pack, regardless of the outcome of the next three races, Vettell is proud of the Red Bull performance throughout this F1 season.
"I think it is normal to have ups and downs, sometimes more and sometimes less, but the expectation was to be in a position to fight for the championship and we are in a strong and good position, so far
we have fulfilled our expectations."
As the eyes of the F1 world turn to the upcoming race on the untested Yeongam track in Korea this Saturday, Vettel and Webber, along with the other F1 teams, are preparing themselves for a stiff competition
where anything – and everything is still possible.
