Sebastian Zbik could prove tough for Julio Cesar Chavez – Boxing news
Undefeated Mexican professional boxer, Julio Cesar Chavez Carrasco is going to face another undefeated World Boxing Council Middleweight Champion Sebastian Zbik on June 4, 2011 at the Staples Centre in California.
The two champions will be face to face for the WBC Middleweight Championship.
There is no denying the fact that Cesar Chavez Jr. has been outstanding in his career where he is going to avail the chance of a championship bout. He has improved and learnt a lot about fighting against the different prospects of not only middleweight or
light middleweight but he has shown his class against the best welterweights and featherweights.
Chavez Jr. will be lucky to get that title fight as an opportunity for him.
Interestingly, he is going to avail that opportunity without going against the dangerous prospects. He does not need to go against Marco Antonio Rubio or Paul Williams or Fernando Guerrero like others to enroll his name for the championship.
Chavez adopted a shortcut to create that opportunity for himself which not many people can do. Firstly, the 2nd tier middleweights were booked by him and then he moved up to defeat John Duddy and Billy Lyell with perfection to win the title bout.
The boxing writers and critics are of the view that the bout could be a tough one for Chavez who may have a problem fighting against Zbik. Another reason for why the fight could be a tough one is that Chavez has fought B level fighters before that but now
there is a strong and unbeaten fighter to compete with.
People who observed his recent sparring session are of the view that it would be very difficult and challenging for Chavez to win over Zbik. His opponent has all the qualities and skills that a great boxer should have.
Chavez should not try to underestimate his opponent and must take it seriously to avoid being upset in case he loses the bout.
