Sebastien Rousseau earns Men’s 400m IM gold – 2012 GSC Summer Invitational
Sebastien D Rousseau of GSC-FL earned gold medal of the Men’s 400m Individual Medley (IM) on closing day of the 2012 Gator Swim Club Summer Invitational in Gainesville, Florida on Tuesday June 5.
The 21-year-old Rousseau remained dominant over his opponents from the start and ensured his place on the top of podium for gold medal.
With his invincible efforts, he remained comfortably ahead of his opponents and hit the finishing blockade for gold medal with the timing of 4 minutes and 25.62 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by his teammate, Dan J Wallace, who remained nearly 2.50 seconds apart and settled on the finishing blockade for silver medal by posting a time of 4 minutes and 28.16 seconds.
The silver medallist was followed by Michael P Joyce of GPAC-FL, who remained 2.47 seconds apart and settled on the finishing end as bronze medallist by clocking a time of 4 minutes and 30.63 seconds.
Fourth spot of the race was secured by Connor J Signorin of PAA-NJ who remained only two strokes apart and tapped the wall with an effort of 4 minutes and 31.09 seconds.
Signorin was chased by Matthew D Elliott of PAWW-FL, who suffered a loss of nearly six seconds from his foregoing finisher and posted a time of 4 minutes and 31.09 seconds for fifth position.
The 19-year-old Elliott was chased by Nicholas J Caldwell of SYS-FL, who stayed nearly four seconds slower from overpowering his former finisher and earned sixth position of the discipline with an effort of 4 minutes and 41.65 seconds.
Caldwell was chased by Marcin Cieslak of GSC-FL, who proved his eligibility for seventh finest spot of the event by reporting a time of 4 minutes and 42.41 seconds.
Eighth position of the discipline was secured by Ben J Borgert of HTA-FL, who remained nearly 0.80 seconds apart and tapped the finishing end with an effort of 4 minutes and 43.23 seconds.
The championship came to an end after the conclusion of all planned events while the position holders received awards and accolades for their notable efforts at the medal ceremony after the session.
