And tell me why you picked the name you did - the husband and I are down to 2 names but we're both standing our ground - this is a tough one. The middle name will be Joseph - that is not going to change.

  1. I like Gabriel, and yes, I live in the U.S..

There's a cat named Sebastien in a popular TV show or movie?? .... Can't think of it, but that name reminds me of a cat. :)

  2. I prefer Gabriel Joseph, because the name is dreamy and a good strong boy name. I'm outside the U.S.

  3. i prefer Sebastien. I know this extremely creepy and annoying kid named Gabriel and every time i hear that name i will think of him and his freakish ways.

  4. Tough one, those are both really nice names!!

    Gabriel Joseph or Sebastien Joseph?

I think I like Gabriel a little better and only becasue it flows a bit nicer with Joseph!

    Good Luck though and congrats!

    BTW I'm from PEI Canada

  5. Sebastien. it's unique and different and a very cute boy's name!

  6. I like both but Sebastian kinda sounds like a cats name so I would go with Gabriel.

  7. Is it a girl or a boy. If a boy Sebastien is is much more suitable and ADORABLE! Gabriel is a very pretty girls name, I don't like it much for  a boy, sorry.

  8. gabreil

  9. Gabriel. I am from the US. I personally think that gabriel is cuter. Think about their nicknames too, Gabe would be really cute! Sebastien Joseph.....im not sure im big on the flow of it, but Gabriel Joseph just sounds so beautiful together! In my opinion that is one of the cutest names ever.

Gabriel also has a biblical background, a very fond, liked, and noble character in the bible. I honestly think you should choose Gabriel, IT WILL BE A DECISION MADE WISE!

  10. US. Gabriel and Sebastian both work fine here. My preference is Sebastian because I like the way it sounds more. Both names are nice though.

    Sebastian William

  11. Gabriel! Sebastian seems like a mouth full.

  12. I am from and live in the US and prefer Sebastien/Sebastian.  Gabriel seems more common. (Gabriel #28  , Sebastian #72 in 2007)  Sebastien also seems a bit more masculine for some reason.

I don't know how open you are to suggestion, but using Joseph as the first name, with either name, has a better ring to it when you say it out loud.

    Joseph Sebastien

    Joseph Gabriel

    or

Gabriel Sebastien has a nice ring to it too

...and you could still call him by his middle name if you/he wanted

(BTW, Sebastien does seem like it be more popular abroad; I noticed it being more popular in Germany)

  13. I think Sebastien is awesome. Reason being is because they can call him Bastien for short, and he'll be the only one! It's also a very masculine name. Gabriel is too popular and by the time he's in school there will be atleast a few of them in his class. Make him unique!

  14. i like Gabriel better. just because i do.

  15. Sebastien is really cute and i like it

i prefer it spelt sebastian better though.

    Sebastian Joseph is cute

    good choice

  16. Sebastien Joseph doesn't have too much of a ring, in my ears.

Sebastien is the name of a dog I am taking care of for a friend

Gabriel Joseph would be my choice out of the two.

Have you considered Gabriel Joseph Sebastien (alphabetical order is how I got that).

  17. i would go for Gabriel.

& that's because i Love that name, and Gabriel Joseph sounds better than Sebastien Joseph!

    Good luck.

    & i'm from the US.

  18. I love them both and always have.  They are both great names.  If I had to pick one I would choose Gabriel, but it depends on what the baby looks like too.  I would keep both names and see what the baby looks like.  Are you going to use the other as a middle name?  I think both Gabriel Sebastien and Sebastien Gabriel could work.  Good luck & God bless!

  19. Gabriel could go by Gabe

  20. i live in the US. if you live here too, go with Gabriel. Sebastian is uncommon and associated with the Little Mermaid.

  21. I like Sebastien...I dont know why- I just like it

  22. To the previous poster--Gabriel is ALL BOY.  Gabrielle is the girls version of this name.

That being said, I love both of them!  I'd pick Gabriel, but Sebastien is great, too.

  23. i love them both, but i like Sebastien best...i've always loved it, and it's not overused..i think that there are more Gabriels/Gabes now..but i still don't know many Sebastiens..none at all really....only 1 Bastian..who was from France!~...and I think that Sebastien Joseph looks dignified and sounds great!!!~...good luck!

  24. i like gabriel it goes with the middle name. and yup from the U.S.

  25. i would say sebastien, it sounds more manly than gabriel. lol :P from toronto, canada :)

  26. i like Gabriel b/c Sebastien always reminds me of 'the little mermaid'

    i live in usa

  27. I like Gabriel much better, Sebastien sounds to old and "heroic". I'm from the US.

  28. Gabriel. More classic, good nickname (Gabe).

  29. Sebastian.
