Question:

Second Cable Box?

I have digital cable through Comcast in my living room. I am thinking about getting a second box. If I do that, do I have to have a cable outlet in the room I want to have the second box in. If there isn't one there, does Comcast have to install one? How much does this cost?

  1. yes they do 10 dollars

  2. No. You do not have to have another coaxial wall jack. Just purchase a 2-way coaxial splitter, and you can do it with that. Just run a coaxial cable coming from the wall jack, into the input in the splitter. Then run a coaxial cable from one output in the splitter, into one box's coaxial input. Then, run another coaxial cable coming from the other coaxial output in the splitter, into the other cable box's coaxial input. Then, of course, make sure that they are both connected to your TV, using either coaxial or RCA cables.
