Second House Phone Problems!?

Question

i just bought a cordless phone and plugged it in near my other phone (not cordless). Every time i plug the cordless one in my internet either doesn't work or workes but takes like 15 minutes to load. I have DSL internet. what is the problem here and what should i do to fix it?

Make sure every telephone has it's own DSL Filter on its cord.  That includes corded and cordless phones (cordless base units).

If DSL filters is not the problem, then are you using a Wireless-G Router?

If using wireless router, then are you using 2.4 GHz cordless phones?  If so, then Wireless-G and 2.4 GHz phones do not play well together.  In which case, best to get 5.8 GHz or 1.6 GHz DECT6 cordless phones.
