I have a 96 Mitsubishi Eclipse with a Dynaudio System 360 for my front stage. I have the Midbass mounted in the doors and the mids and tweets in the kick panels. I have found that even with many hours of angle adjustment and digital time alignment, I can get a perfectly centered soundstage, but the instruments at the left and right edges of the stage appear much lower than those in those in the center (which are at eye level). The eclipse has stock speaker locations at the edges on top of the dash facing up towards the highly angled windshield. I am thinking of putting in a second pair of Dynaudio MD100s in these locations to try to raise the outer edges of the soundstage. Of course these would be attenuated (~12dB???) and crossed over higher than the tweets in the kicks. What do you think of this idea? Any recommendation on crossover frequencies and slopes? Has anyone tried this with any good results?SteveRemove NOSPAM to respond.
