Question:

Second Working Holiday visas to Australia?

Is it easy to get a second working holiday visa to Australia when you've already had one and do not qualify for a second? I would LOVE to go back and I was thinking of getting a new passport in my Gaelic name to circumvent this. Or would the fact that I have a new passport with a new passport number suffice for me not to be detected? However, I have an unusual name so that would be a problem. Any advice/suggestions? Thanks

  1. For goodness sake, don't even think of trying that one on! You just might get away with it, but there's a huge chance that you won't and you would then be barred from Australia or deported if you're still here. I'm astonished that the Irish?? authorities are so slack that they would even allow it to be possible to get a second passport. Surely not!

To answer your specific question, there's no way to get a second WH visa if you didn't meet the 3 month seasonal work requirement.

    EDIT:

OK, so maybe you wouldn't have 2 passports at the same time, but on the application for your visa there are 5 or 6 places where you'd have to lie to get the visa. In this computerised agem it's a big chance to take.

  2. I wouldn't advise doing that, the Immigration people are not stupid they know all the tricks, you will land yourself in trouble.

  3. Hmm well if I were you I wouldn't risk it but you can go for it if you want. Should've done some more seasonal work when you were there the first time around :)
