Second hand blackberry pearl 8110, help using applications!!?

Question

I bought my blackberry second hand but i cant use facebook, maps etc or log my email address onto it. When i try to use facebook it says 'contact your service provider for additional info or to upgrade your current service plan'

Does this mean i have to contact my internet provider or can i upgrade my current contract with vodafone to make the applications work?? sorry if that didnt make sense!! but any help would be great!

I believe Omar is correct. It sounds like you don't have a BlackBerry Data Plan provisioned on your account. All the applications you listed need a BlackBerry data plan in order to work.

Check with your service provider if you have internet service for the Blackberry, remember is you can't surf the internet with it then any application that uses the internet to pull and request information will not work.
