Second hand moves every 4 seconds

Question

I have a Raymond Weil (Tango) watch and recently the second hand on the watch behaved strangely, it moves every 4-seconds instead of the normal movement. the problem started about 6 months ago and still going, time keeping still very accurate. I just wonder whether because of the battery or something else. Can any body help.
