  1. How tall you grow to be is dependent only on your genetics.  What you can do is make sure you lead a healthy life style so your body can get all it needs while it's still growing to reach it's full potential.

  2. Swimming doesn't make you any taller than you would be if you didn't swim.

  3. the sport you do and your height have nothing in common.

  4. I'm not very sure. I started competitive swimming at age 5 1/2. Anyway, I've always looked a bit tall for my age. I'm not sure if it's because of the swimming though. I'm 13 now, a girl with a height of 168cm. Actually when you look at my photos when I was younger, I was quite at average height when I was 5 1/2 and so. I started looking tall when I was about 10. And I'm 13 now and really tall from what other people tell me. But that's probably because of the growth spurt? I'm not so sure. If you want to grow a bit in height, I don't think anything will help specifically, it's really your genes, you can't do anything about it. Both my parents are tall.

But swimming is a great sport, apart from the trainings, it's great! I like the races and meets. That's when I can show off my speed and stamina to everyone, and it's just so much fun!!! Way funner than the trainings. The trainings are sooo dull. I have to train 5 hours a day. Really tiring. It really requires a lot of commitment, but I always think of the races, and I motivate myself to go on.

If you want to be tall, I won't say much. But the most you CAN do is eat healthy, and exercise a lot. It's not great being tall actually, limits you a lot. I skipped a grade and some people think I actually failed a grade!!! Anyway, be happy with yourself, just make sure you take care of your body properly and everything just sort of comes naturally. All the best of luck to you!

  5. Swimming or any sport has nothing to do with your height, unless you mean was our height stunted?
